PM Modi Should Return for Amaravati City's Inauguration After Three Years: Chandrababu

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu delivered a speech at the foundation-laying ceremony for the reconstruction of the Amaravati capital city. He expressed confidence that, with the full cooperation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amaravati would be developed into a city that the world would take pride in, serving as a symbol of the hopes and aspirations of five crore people of Andhra Pradesh.
Chandrababu Naidu recalled that the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Jana Sena Party, and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) alliance achieved a historic victory in the 2024 general elections with a 94 percent strike rate. He stated that the state's economy was on a ventilator when the coalition came to power and asserted that, with the support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, efforts are now underway to bring it back on track. He promised that the state would be led on the path of development with the cooperation of the central government. He remarked that the state is only now beginning to recover from the destruction caused during the five-year rule of the YSR Congress Party.
Chandrababu Naidu emphasized that Amaravati is not just a city, but an emotional and symbolic center for five crore people of Andhra Pradesh. He recalled that 29,000 farmers voluntarily sacrificed their futures and handed over 34,000 acres of land to the government for the construction of the capital. He noted that Amaravati holds historical significance as the abode of Amaralingeswara Swamy, the Krishna River, and ancient Buddhist monasteries. He said that during the previous government’s rule, Amaravati’s farmers endured unspeakable hardships, and their struggle and sacrifice will never be forgotten. He praised the Amaravati movement, stating that he had never witnessed anything like it in his lifetime. He remarked that the decisive verdict given by the people in the 2024 elections has brought new life to Amaravati.
Chandrababu Naidu described the initiation of the capital reconstruction by Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a golden day in the history of Andhra Pradesh. He declared that Amaravati would be developed into a city that all five crore people could proudly call their own. He explained plans to establish Amaravati as a hub for education and healthcare, fully integrated with major cities around the world, and developed as a pollution-free city powered by green energy. He said that educational institutions would be established to enable nearly 500,000 students to study in Amaravati.
He recalled that the establishment of HITECH City in Hyderabad marked the beginning of the IT revolution, and that it was inaugurated by then-Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Drawing inspiration from that experience, he announced plans to establish a Quantum Valley in Amaravati. He revealed that significant Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) have already been signed with major companies such as IBM, TCS, and L&T. Chandrababu Naidu expressed hope that Andhra Pradesh would make rapid progress in the field of artificial intelligence under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.
Chandrababu Naidu expressed his desire for Prime Minister Modi to return to inaugurate the fully developed city of Amaravati after three years. He said that the support Modi has extended for Amaravati’s development will remain etched in history and hoped for the Prime Minister’s blessings always. He reiterated that not only Amaravati, but all 26 districts in the state would be developed equally.
Chandrababu Naidu shared a lighthearted note, saying there were predictions of rain in Amaravati today, but the gods had instead blessed the event with clear weather. He added that Prime Minister Modi had once said that, in his 25 years of political life, no public meeting had ever been canceled due to adverse weather—and that today's successful event in Amaravati proved that statement right.
