Defense Preparedness Intensifies as India Monitors Pakistani Activities
Air Chief Marshal A. P. Singh met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday to discuss the preparedness of the Indian Air Force (IAF) and government response strategies following the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam. According to credible sources, he briefed the Prime Minister on potential retaliatory options currently available to the Air Force.

Although no official statement has been issued regarding this meeting held at the Prime Minister’s official residence at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg, sources indicate that the two discussed national security conditions and possible retaliatory actions under government consideration. Just hours before this meeting, Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi also conferred with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss the situation in the northern Arabian Sea.

The Indian Navy is currently conducting extensive operations in the Arabian Sea. All key warships, maritime patrol aircraft, and support vessels belonging to the Western Naval Command have been deployed at sea. According to defense sources, the Navy is fully prepared to undertake any feasible action the moment orders are received from the government.

In response to these recent developments, Pakistan has reportedly placed its military along the Line of Control (LoC) on high alert. Information suggests that around 30 percent of their frontline troops are now constantly stationed at border posts. Reports also indicate that the Pakistani military has readied heavy weaponry, strengthened its air defense systems in recent days, and deployed additional forces.

In turn, Indian defense sources stated that India has also reorganized its troops across various sectors and increased the readiness of its weapons systems, to effectively counter any pre-emptive or retaliatory moves from Pakistan.
