Malala Yousafzai Condemns Violence, Calls for Calm Amid India-Pakistan Tensions
Amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai has appealed to both nations to exercise restraint and foster a peaceful environment. Her comments come in the wake of a deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, which claimed the lives of 26 innocent civilians.

Malala Yousafzai emphasized that the people of India and Pakistan are not enemies of one another, asserting that “hatred and violence are our common enemies.” In a message posted on her Instagram account, she stated, “Hatred and violence are our common enemies, not each other. I strongly urge the leaders of India and Pakistan to take action to reduce tensions, to protect civilians—especially children—and to unite against the forces of division.”

Expressing her deep condolences to the families of the innocent victims in both countries, Malala Yousafzai added, “At this dangerous time, I am thinking about my friends, family members, and the educators and girls we work with in Pakistan.”

She also called upon the international community to take immediate action to promote dialogue and diplomacy. “Peace is the only path forward for the safety and well-being of us all,” Malala Yousafzai emphasized.
