Myanmar Family in Hyderabad Nabbed for Forged Aadhaar, PAN Cards

A group of Myanmar nationals illegally residing in Hyderabad and obtaining Indian government identity cards through forged documents has been exposed. The Rachakonda SOT police conducted raids on Tuesday and detained several Myanmar nationals in connection with the case. According to the police, the group had entered India illegally several years ago and acquired Aadhaar cards, PAN cards, and gas connections using fabricated documents. Authorities have identified the involvement of certain teachers working at a madrasa as key facilitators in the scheme.
Based on police disclosures, Mohammad Amin from Myanmar, along with his wife Mohammad Rumana Akhtar and their son Mohammad Nayeem, illegally entered India in the year 2011. They later moved to Hyderabad in 2014 and settled in the area of Old Amberpet. Mohammad Amin has since been operating a battery shop in the locality.
The police focused their investigation on how the family obtained Aadhaar cards illegally. It was discovered that with the assistance of Mohammad Haris and Ayaz, who work as teachers in a madrasa, Mohammad Amin secured an Aadhaar card through a MeeSeva centre in Manchal village. Subsequently, using a forged marriage certificate, he also arranged for an Aadhaar card to be issued to his wife, Rumana Akhtar. For their son, Nayeem, an Aadhaar card was arranged with the help of Shoaib Malik—another Myanmar national who had illegally settled in Balapur—using fake documents.
Police confirmed that they received credible information about the family submitting fraudulent documents to acquire government identity cards. Acting on this intelligence, the Rachakonda SOT police apprehended the individuals involved. Authorities seized fake Aadhaar cards, PAN cards, gas books, bank accounts, passbooks, and other crucial documents obtained using these forged identities. Police also stated that Ayaz and Shoaib Malik, who assisted in these activities, are currently absconding. Special teams have been deployed to locate and apprehend them.
