Dil Raju Announces No More Paid YouTube Views for His Films

Renowned Telugu film producer Dil Raju has made critical remarks on certain prevailing practices in the Telugu film industry. Expressing dissatisfaction with the artificial inflation of YouTube views as part of film promotions, Dil Raju declared that his production banner will no longer engage in such activities. He announced that this new approach would be implemented starting with the upcoming film Thammudu, starring actor Nithiin.
Speaking on the matter, Dil Raju stated, “My intention is to understand how many people are genuinely reached by our trailer or song. If we spend lakhs or crores to buy views, we may see large numbers, but it does not reflect real audience engagement. It becomes impossible to assess how much the content has actually reached the viewers. Therefore, I have given clear instructions to my PR team not to purchase views for our films anymore. We are starting this practice with Thammudu.”
He emphasized that genuine content would always find an audience. Citing the success of the film Sankranthiki Vastaam, he said it served as proof that strong content receives appreciation. “If the film has substance, 100% the audience will watch it. If not, they will reject it. Only when we know how far our content is reaching can we understand the shortcomings and make improvements,” Dil Raju explained.
He also called upon the media to focus attention on such issues and question those responsible for manipulative promotional strategies. “I do not understand why media friends do not question such practices. Only if efforts are made to stop false promotions can a healthy atmosphere be established in the industry,” he stated.
Dil Raju added that the Telugu film industry holds the number one position in the country and that maintaining this position requires collective effort to deliver quality content.
