Viveka murder case: Accused files petition in court to direct CBI to submit SIT reports

Kadapa: The CBI has expedited its investigation into the murder case of former Minister and MP YS Vivekananda Reddy. The A1 accused in the murder case, Erra Gangireddy, has filed a petition in the Pulivendula court asking it to direct the CBI to submit the SIT I and SIT II investigation reports to the court.

He urged the court to give directions to submit reports under Section 207 of the CRPC. The court accepted the petition for hearing. The CBI, on the other hand, has filed a counter-petition in this regard.

It may be recalled that the murder of Vivekananda Reddy has stirred up a hornet's nest as he happened to the brother of former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy and maternal uncle of present Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy.
