Special Railway Zone will be set up in Vizag soon, reiterates Somu Veerraju
Amaravati: BJP Andhra Pradesh chief Somu Veerraju once again made a statement on the Special Railway Zone to Vizag. He announced that a new railway zone would be set up at Visakhapatnam as headquarters soon. He made this statement on Monday while criticising the functioning of the YSRCP government.
Veerraju made it clear the BJP government at the Centre was allocating funds for AP, but the state government was diverting the funds for other purposes. He lamented that the YSRCP government was indulging in mud-slinging against the Centre alleging that the BJP government was not releasing the funds despite thousands of crores of funds allocated to the state.
Responding to the issue of new districts, Veerraju opined that the division of districts should take place as per people's wish. They will thwart attempts of the state government if it divides the districts according to its whims and fancies without taking the people's opinion into consideration. He also demanded that a Special Committee be set up to look into the demands of the people.
