Minor girl lodges complaint with police against GHMC officials

Hyderabad: An 11-year-old girl has lodged a complaint with the police against GHMC officials for not repairing roads. Frustrated that the road maintenance officers did not respond after four months, the girl went straight to the police station and complained that cases should be registered against the GHMC officers, who forgot the road repairs and acted negligently.

Shaher Kaur has lodged a complaint with the Madhapur DCP Shilpavalli. The girl asked the police to file a case against the Zonal commissioner of Sherilingampally as well as an engineer working in the circle.

According to details, the Cyberabad traffic DCP has given suggestions to GHMC officials in Sherilingampal on December 30, 2021 at a meeting organised for the prevention of road accidents. As part of this, the DCP also advised to reduce the speed of vehicles on the roads and also to take precautionary measures to prevent accidents.

However, four months have passed since then, but GHMC officials have not carried out a single repair as suggested by the DCP. Shaher Kaur, who raised the same issue, has lodged a complaint with the police seeking registration of cases against the negligent Sherilingampally Zonal Commissioner and an engineer working in the Circle.
