US warns of dire consequences if China helps Russia
New Delhi: Russia, which has been attacking Ukraine for the past 19 days, has recently asked China for help. Western nations, such as the United States, have imposed large-scale sanctions on Russia over its aggression against Ukraine.
However, Russia is facing a shortage of military equipment due to sanctions at a critical juncture in the fight against Ukraine. Russia reportedly asked its ally China to provide military equipment. Learning about this, America has reacted strongly to this.
It warned that anyone, who helped Russia escape its sanctions would face with dire consequences. In response, US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan made it clear that China would have to pay a price if it tried to provide assistance to Russia, which is at war with Ukraine.
To this end, they said they were in direct and indirect consultation with the Chinese leadership and would not allow anyone to help Russia plunge. He explained that the US would act tough against those countries which help Russia.
