Patient bitten by rats at MGM Warangal, dies

A patient, who was bitten by rats while undergoing treatment at ICU in Mahatma Gandhi Hospital (MGM) in Warangal, was shifted to the NIMS in Hyderabad after his health condition turned critical on Friday night. He died on late night despite doctors putting in best efforts. The incident of rats biting the patient, who was identified as Srinivas, has turned into a major controversy. 
 
Opposition parties have criticised the ruling TRS government for not providing safety to the patient in ICU. TPCC chief Revanth Reddy had slammed the state government for showing interest in publicity of ‘KCR Kit’ instead of improving infrastructure in government hospitals.
