Guv should work within the framework of Constitution: Talasani
Telangana Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav on Saturday said that the Governor should work within the framework of the Constitution. Speaking to the media in Hyderabad, he said that it is an old demand of abolishing the Governor system.
The minister quoted several incidents of Governors in the past trying to dethrone state governments which are against the Central government. Indirectly referring to Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, Talasani stated that a person sitting in a Constitutional post should not speak like a political leader. “People will not appreciate the Governor if she speaks likes a politician,” he mentioned.
Talasani further said that makers of the Indian Constitution have defined boundaries for every post. He came down heavily on leaders of Opposition parties for speaking as they like on electronic and social media for securing cheap publicity. Without naming TPCC president Revanth Reddy, he slammed him for speaking about Section 8 of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act.
