R.K. Roja takes charge as Tourism Minister
Accompanied by family members, relatives and followers, YSRCP MLA R.K. Roja took charge as Tourism and Culture Minister on Wednesday at her chamber in the second block at Secretariat in Velagapudi. Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Minister Ch. Venugopala Krishna has felicitated Roja after she assumed office.
Later, speaking to the media, the tourism minister stated that the YSRCP leaders and workers have worked like soldiers for the party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to take forward the legacy of former chief minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy by bringing the YSRCP to power.
“Recognising our efforts, the CM gave chance for some MLAs to become ministers in the first batch. In the second batch, I got an opportunity along with other MLAs to be as ministers,” she stated. Further, Roja has mentioned that Jagan wants ministers to be responsible in serving the people. Minister’s daughter Anshu Malika stood as a special attraction while she was taking charge.
