TG Venkatesh as A5 accused in Banjara Hills land case
Hyderabad, April 19: Police have included AP BJP MP TG Venkatesh as A5 accused and his nephew TG Vishwa Prasad as A1, in the remand report, over a land issue belonging to AP Gems and Jewellers Park in Banjara Hills on Monday.
The police have already booked a case against the MP and his nephew for allegedly trying to grab the land belonging to AP Gems and Jewelers in Banjara Hills. They arrested the duo along with 80 others.
According to the police report, about 80 persons entered the land on Sunday and tried to destroy the gate with JCB. Gems and Jewelers watchman was injured when he tried to prevent the demolition. The accused had attacked the remaining security staff.
Upon receiving information, police took 60 persons into custody and shifted them to different police stations.
Meanwhile, responding to the report that he was accused as A5 in the land issue, MP TG Venkatesh said that he had no connection with the Banjara Hills land issue. ‘The accused might have told my name due to police threatening. This is nothing but baseless allegation against me.’ He questioned, “how my name appeared in the remand report when it was not there in the FIR?”
