Gangr*pe at Vijayawada govt hospital is shame to AP: Chandrababu
Vijayawada, April 22: Leader of the Opposition N. Chandrababu Naidu on Friday termed gangr*pe incident at government hospital in Vijayawada is shame to Andhra Pradesh. Talking to reporters after consoling the victim, he stated that there is no safety and security to women in the state. “Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy should have visited government hospital first instead of going to Ongole for releasing the third instalment of zero interest scheme to Self-Help Groups (SHGs),” he mentioned.
Further, Chandraabu has stated that the YSRCP government has no right to rule the state. “The CM is behaving irresponsibly,” he added and demanded that the accused in the gangr*pe case should be hanged to death.
The TDP chief slammed police for giving free advice to victim’s father to search for his daughter instead of registering a complaint. After announcing a financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh to victim on behalf of the TDP, Naidu also sought an ex-gratia of Rs 1 crore and a house from the state government.
