‘Prove scam, will surrender my college to govt’ Puvvada challenges Revanth
Khammam, April 24: Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar challenged TPCC chief A Revanth Reddy that he will surrender his medical college to the State government if Revanth proves even if a single seat was blocked.
‘If he fails to prove his allegation, then Revanth should prostrate before me and apologise,’ the Minister stated.
Puvvada took strong objection to Revanth complaining to Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan about PG medical seats scam in Mamata Medical College in Khammam, owned by Minister Puvvada.
The Minister said he has been running the medical college for the past 20 years in most transparent manner. He further added that there is no need for him to scam as all seats would get filled during PG admissions’ counseling.
Meanwhile responding to Puvvada’s challenge, TPCC chief Revanth said that he is ready for any punishment if his allegations about the irregularities in medical colleges of Ministers are proved wrong. Asking to conduct enquiry by medical council on the medical colleges belonging to Minister Mallareddy and Puvvada on the same day, the Congress leader said he will quit politics permanently if it is proved that there are no irregularities in these colleges.
