APWC warns action against Naidu, Bonda Uma if they do not to appear for inquiry
Vijayawada, April 27: The Vijayawada GGH gang rape incident has turned as YSRCP versus TDP war.
AP Women Commission chairperson Vasireddy Padma issued noticed to TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu and leader Bonda Umamaheswar Rao alleging that they had insulted her, who went to condole the rape victim. But it seems that both Naidu and Uma are not going to appear for the inquiry, slated at 11 am on Wednesday (April 27) at the commission’s office.
Bonda Uma declared that he was not going to appear for the inquiry. He fired on the chairperson, “Why Vasireddy Padma served notices to me and Naidu? Why she didn’t file a complaint to the police if she was insulted?” Meanwhile, the TDP leaders gave a call for State wide protests on Wednesday condemning the act of Women Commission serving notices to Naidu and Bonda Uma. They were criticizing that the government and the Commission have targeted TDP, who were neglecting the atrocities against women.
Meanwhile, Women Commission members said that the commission has the right to issue summons and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and leader Bonda Uma must appear for the inquiry. Otherwise legal action will be taken against them, commission member Sailaja warned.
