Hyderabad Collector to join TRS!
Hyderabad, April 28: Another District Collector is preparing ground to join pink gang. Following the footsteps of former Siddipet District Collector Venkatrami Reddy, Hyderabad District Collector L Sharman is gearing up to join the ruling TRS. According to sources, the political entry of Sharman, who will retire after two months, is almost confirmed.
Collector Sharman had extensively toured basti and slum areas daily on his bike to know the issues at ground level. It seems that he believes that politics is the right platform to serve the people even after retirement. According to information, the Collector is considering to join the TRS and to contest in elections from reserved Adilabad Lok Sabha or Khanapur Assembly constituency.
Responding to the news of him joining politics, Collector Sharman evaded answer by saying that there are still two more months for retirement. Anything may happen after that, he said.
Sharman has joined service as Group-1 officer and worked in various posts till he become IAS. He also worked as GHMC additional secretary, Mahabubnagar JC and Nagarkurnool District Collector.
He is reportedly considering to tour various places at ground level after retirement and to identify the problems faced by the people. He is preparing action plan to mingle with the public. Sharman already is in good books of local political leaders and also many of his relatives are active in politics.
