CM Jagan to meet PM Modi tomorrow ahead of CM-CJ conference
Tadepalli, April 28: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will be meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday ahead of attending the chief ministers-chief justices’ conference to be held in New Delhi on Saturday (April 30). The conference is being organised after a gap of six years as coronavirus pandemic had prevailed in the last few years.
The PM will inaugurate the conference in the presence of Chief Justice of India N.V. Ramana. The main agenda of the event is to discuss on filling up vacancies in judiciary, measures to be taken for reducing the pending cases and extending legal aid services to the needy.
Few months ago, the CJI had sent a proposal to the Centre for setting up a National Judicial Infrastructure Authority of India (NJIAI) for providing adequate infrastructure to courts. The conference will also discuss on NJIAI. The CJI will be patron-in-chief for the proposed NJIAI.
