Addressing the public gathering, the CM mentioned that 10,228 houses will be constructed in this colony alone and state government will bear the expenditure for developing the basic infrastructure. “My government already distributed 30.70 lakh house site pattas across the state in which construction of 15.60 lakh houses had commenced.
Jagan stated that the government had decided to hand over house site pattas to beneficiaries 16 months ago. “But some persons filed a petition in the High Court as they were unable to digest CM getting good name if pattas were distributed,” he alleged. He further said that distribution of house pattas got delayed by 489 days because of plea in the High Court.
“We were able to hand over pattas to women as the High Court gave nod for distribution,” he said and added that 17,000 Jagananna Housing colonies will come up in Andhra Pradesh. The CM announced that house pattas will be sanctioned to eligible beneficiaries if they submit their applications in the Secretariat.
