Minister Talasani terms Megastar Chiranjeevi as 'Industry Bigiwig'

Hyderabad: It seems there won’t be an end to the debate over, who is the ‘Industry bigwig’, in near future as whenever a film function is organised it becomes a hot top of the discussion. The guests present there come to a conclusion and term Megastar Chiranjeevi as the ‘Industry Bigwig’, but if the Megastar happens to be present there, he politely refuses to take the tag when he gets an opportunity to speak at the gathering.

The topic came to the fore yet again at the health cards distribution programme for the film journalists in Hyderabad. Addressing a gathering, Telangana Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav said that Megastar Chiranjeevi is the ‘Industry Bigwig’. He further stated the government will support the film journalists.

It may be recalled that since the death of renowned and legendary director Dasari Narayana Rao, a debate has been ongoing on, who is the ‘Industry Bigwig’. The lack of complete solidarity in the industry has created a situation where no one comes forward to fill the void created by the demise of Dasari.
 
But, many industry bigwigs have already said that Megastar Chiranjeevi is the person, who they can look forward to, as he is always in the forefront whenever anybody needs help and when the Tollywood is in crisis. However, Chiranjeevi clarified that he is just an artiste and not an ‘Industry Bigwig’. But, in the case of movie ticket prices in Andhra Pradesh, he took the initiative and solved the problem.
