ED attaches assets worth Rs 7.27 belonging to Bollywood actress Jaqueline Fernandez
Mumbai: In a shock to Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has attached her assets worth 7.27 crore in Mumbai on Saturday. Conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar, who was arrested in a money laundering case, has reportedly given expensive gifts to the Bollywood actress.
Though the actress is not the accused in the case, but the ED has not given a clean chit to her. It is learnt that the Enforcement Directorate officials banned her from leaving the country while conman had reportedly given gifts to the actress from the proceeds of crime generated by criminal activities, including extortion.
Sukesh Chandrasekhar is the main accused in the Rs 200 crore money laundering case. Jacqueline was accused of receiving expensive gifts from him. Authorities found that Chandrasekhar had given Jacqueline and her family members gifts such as expensive diamond earrings, bracelets, designer bags and gym suits. Authorities say Jacqueline had a close relationship with Chandrasekhar. Photos of the two being intimate in the past have also gone viral on social media.
