Chandrababu Naidu condemns Sakshi reporter's attack on old man in Tadepalli
Amaravathi, May 1: Telugu Desam Party supremo Nara Chandrababu Naidu and party general secretary Nara Lokesh condemned Sakshi reporter's attack on an old man near CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's residence. The incident took place at Polakampadu village of Tadepalli mandal in Guntur district. This incident came to light late after photos and videos of the reporter attacking the old man went viral on social media platforms.
According to information, amidst the dispute over a house land between Atla Koteswar Rao and Sakshi reporter Nagireddy, the reporter allegedly attacked the old man. It was reported that the old man cried for help from TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and leaders. The victim lamented, “Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy! We voted for you believing that you will do justice for us. Can’t you see the attack on us? The CM resident is just 3 km away from the incident spot.”
Speaking with the reporters, the victim showed the photos and videos. He said that the reporter kicked me on my chest even without considering my age, for questioning him about land encroachment. Since he and his family have life threat from the reporter, Koteswar Rao asked for protection.
Responding to the allegation, reporter Nagireddy denied that he didn’t attacked the man. He said, “Koteswar Rao tried to touch my legs. He accidentally fell on his back when I tried to stop him.” Stating that he never attacked the old man, the reporter said that in fact Koteswar Rao’s wife and other women attacked him, who snatched his phone.
Both Koteswar Rao and Nagireddy filed separate complaints to the police on Saturday.
Meanwhile responding to the incident, TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu and Nara Lokesh took their Twitter and expressed anger over the incident. In his tweet, Naidu questioned CM Jagan whether he couldn’t control such inhuman incidents.
