Kadapa: YSRCP Pulivendula leader Y.S. Konda Reddy arrested
Kadapa, May 9: The police arrested Chakrayapeta YSRCP mandal in-charge Y.S. Konda Reddy on Monday morning for obstructing road laying works between Rayachoti and Vempalli. SRK Constructions founder and contractor lodged a complaint with Chakrayapeta police. Based on the complaint, the cops registered a case.
Confirming the arrest, Kadapa Superintendent of Police (SP) K.K.N. Anburajan told the media that Konda Reddy had threatened the contractor and obstructed road construction works. The preliminary investigation has revealed that Konda Reddy demanded the contractor to pay money for him in order to execute his contract work without any interruption.
The SP mentioned that the state government is dealing firmly with corruption activities and arrest of Konda Reddy is an example. Anburajan stated that government employees, private persons, police personnel and politicians will not be spared if they involve in corruption. The arrest of the YSRCP leader belonging to Pulivendula Assembly constituency has created sensation in the state.
