Hyd: Six arrested for rape attempt on woman at Kondapur

Hyderabad, May 30: The police arrested six persons including Gayatri for attempting a rape on a woman at Kondapur. According to Gachibowli CI Suresh, Gayatri’s husband Srikanth had developed friendship with a woman at a Civils coaching centre in October 2021. He introduced her to his wife. As she became close to couple, she was staying near to their residence.
 
However, Gayatri suspected that victim is having a secret relationship with her husband. On the instructions of Gayatri, her driver Vishnuvardhan Reddy, Manoj, Moulali, Mastan, and Mujahid confined victim to a room and inflicted injuries on her private parts and also tried to gangrape her. Based on a complaint, the police registered a case and took them into custody.
 
The CI further said Gayatri also having property dispute with her mother and sister. Both alleged that Gayatri and Srikanth forcibly occupied their house. Gayatri’s mother said that they are collecting rents from 15 shops belonging to her husband.
