Vizag: Rowdysheeter kidnaps realtor for Rs 1 crore, rescued by police
Visakhapatnam, June 21: A rowdy-sheeter by name Kola Venkata Hemath kidnapped a real estate businessman Ramakrishna and demanded him to pay Rs 1 crore for his release.
According to police, Hemanth spoke over mobile with Ramakrishna and informed that there is a land for development. He informed realtor that he can meet owner of the land at a guest house in Rishikonda and can make an agreement with him.
Believing his words, Ramakrishna came to the guest house in a rented car. Three followers of rowdy-sheeter were already hiding in the guest house. As soon as Ramakrishna entered the house, they tied his hands and legs and took him into a room.
Realtor assistants saw Hemanth kidnapping Ramakrishna and informed police through Dial 100. The police intercepted the car and rescued him. However, rowdy-sheeter managed to escape. Visakhapatnam Police Commissioner Ch. Srikanth has formed special teams to arrest Hemanth, who is also main accused in the murder of Congress leader Vijaya Reddy.
