Modi govt failed to complete Polavaram construction: KTR
Delhi, June 27: TRS working president K. Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) on Monday came down heavily on Modi-led NDA government for not completing a single national status project including Polavaram in Andhra Pradesh in the last eight years. “My government can proudly say that we have completed Kaleshwaram, world’s largest lift irrigation project,” he mentioned.
Talking to reporters at Telangana Bhavan here, KTR said that India’ rate of unemployment in last 75 years is highest in the present Modi government. To a question, the TRS leader mentioned that he is ready to resign to his minister post if the Centre releases white paper claiming that more funds allotted to Telangana than received from state.
Earlier, KTR stated that the TRS is opposing BJP-led NDA presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu and extending complete support to UPA nominee Yashwant Sinha. He faulted Draupadi for not raising her voice when 13 tribals were shot dead by police during the rule of BJD and BJP alliance government.
