CM KCR welcomes Yashwant Sinha, both head to Jalavihar in same vehicle
Hyderabad, July 2: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) and his Cabinet colleagues welcomed UPA presidential candidate Yashwant Sinha at Begumpet airport here on Saturday. Sinha landed at airport in a special flight. KCR introduced his son K. Taraka Rama Rao, who holds IT and Industries portfolio, and other Cabinet ministers.
Sinha and KCR left to Jalavihar in a same vehicle following by a huge bike rally with more than 5,000 TRS activists. KCR will hold a meeting with Sinha for two hours at Jalavihar and appeal to his party MPs and MLAs to vote for Sinha. Telangana CM will also speak to the media on the occasion.
Prior to the arrival of Sinha, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh’s flight landed at Begumpet airport. Union ministers, chief ministers of BJP-ruled states, key leaders, party presidents of all states and union territories are attending two-day BJP national executive meeting here. The BJP slammed the TRS for scheduling Sinha’s visit to coincide with national executive meet.
