Rooster fights: TDP Chintamaneni refutes betting charges of Telangana cops
Eluru, July 8: The TDP leader and former Denduluru MLA Chinthamaneni Prabhakar on Friday said that he went to Hyderabad to participate in betting on rooster fights. “I left immediately from the spot as organisers told me that I would be trouble if I stays for some more time,” he mentioned.
To a question, the TDP leader expressed anger over Telangana police for saying that he escaped by the time cops arrived. Chinthamaneni demanded that police should show evidence of his involvement in betting. “Did police caught my vehicle in the raid,” he asked.
Earlier, he along with the TDP activists staged a protest here against the YSRCP government. He said that the ruling party has no moral right to celebrate farmers’ day. He alleged that the Jagan government deceived farmers. “People voted YSRCP to power expecting better rule than the TDP but it is much worse compared to previous Chandrababu government,” he slammed.
