CM Jagan felicitates NDA prez candidate, introduces Murmu to MPs, MLAs
Amaravati, July 12: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy welcomed NDA presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu to Andhra Pradesh at his residence on Tuesday. He felicitated her by presenting a portrait of Lord Venkateswara. Union Tourism Minister G. Kishan Reddy has accompanied Murmu. Afterwards, Jagan and Draupadi left to CK Conventional Hall near Mangalagiri. YSRCP MPs and MLAs greeted her as soon as she came on to the stage.
Speaking on the occasion, Kishan Reddy thanked the CM on behalf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for extending support to Murmu in presidential elections. “The NDA proposed the name of Draupadi after taking consent of majority political parties,” he mentioned and made an appeal to Opposition to support first tribal woman contesting for the president post.
The CM urged party MPs and MLAs to vote for Draupadi in presidential elections as the YSRCP has been advocating social justice at all levels. Later, Jagan introduced MPs and MLAs to Murmu.
