CPI Narayana expresses apology to actor Chiranjeevi for insulting remarks
Rajahmundry, July 20: CPI national secretary K. Narayana on Wednesday tendered an open apology for insulting Tollywood megastar Chiranjeevi with his comments at a press meet in Tirupati. He said that he used a few abusive words in a flow of speech while criticising Chiranjeevi.
Narayana stated that he did not want to respond to tweet of Jana Sena leader Naga Babu. However, he made an appeal to fans of Chiranjeevi and Kapunadu leaders to put an end to the row and sought their support in helping flood victims of combined East and West Godavari districts. “I have been receiving numerous calls from Chiranjeevi fans,” he mentioned.
Few days ago, the CPI leader slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for inviting Chiranjeevi instead of senior actor Krishna to unveiling event of 30-feet bronze statue of freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju. He termed Chiranjeevi as political broker. Naga Babu reacted sharply to Narayana’s comments.
