YSRCP govt failed to rescue people from flood-hit villages: Chandrababu
Amaravati, July 21: Leader of the Opposition N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday visited flood-affected villages in Konaseema district. Addressing a gathering, he said that the YSRCP government failed to rescue the people from the villages which were submerged due to Godavari floods.
Expressing anger over the present AP government, Chandrababu recalled that he worked hard till every villager affected by floods were rescued and shifted to relief camps during the previous TDP rule. He claimed that the 72% works of Polavaram Project were completed during his tenure. “In Jagan government, works of Polavaram have taken a back seat,” he criticised.
Chandrababu alleged that prices of essential commodities have skyrocketed in the state as the YSRCP government hiked taxes. “People in AP did not revolt so far as they have more patience than Sri Lanka people,” he mentioned. On Friday, the TDP chief will visit flood-ravaged villages of Palakollu and Narasapur mandals in West Godavari district.
