Taking steps to stop spread of seasonal diseases: Harish Rao
Hyderabad, July 25: A detailed review meeting held here on Monday to prevent the spread of seasonal diseases including malaria and dengue under the chairmanship of Health Minister T. Harish Rao. Ministers Sabitha Indra Reddy, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Koppula Eshwar, and Satyavathi Rathod attended the meeting. While collectors, additional collectors and ITDA POs, municipal commissioners, DEOs have participated through video conference.
It was decided in the meeting to take up anti-larval operations across the state and also to conduct Friday as a dry day in all government offices and educational institutions.
Harish Rao mentioned that malaria and dengue testing kits were made available in PHCs, area and district hospitals. “On every Sunday, health staff and people representatives should create awareness on seasonal diseases,” he said.
The minister directed officials to visit every house and ensure COVID-19 booster dose is administered to every person. He made an appeal to people not to worry about monkeypox.
