Chandrababu to visit flooded villages in merged mandals of Polavaram from today
Amaravati, July 28: Leader of the Opposition N. Chandrababu Naidu is embarking on two-day tour in the merged mandals of Polavaram Project from today. On Thursday, he will visit flood-ravaged villages in Velerupadu and Kukkanuru mandals and console flood victims. After completing his first day tour, Chandrababu will stay at night in temple town of Bhadrachalam.
The TDP chief would visit flood-affected Thotapalli, Kothulagutta, and Rekapalli villages in Yetapaka, Kunavaram and VR Puram mandals on Friday. His tour assumed importance in the wake of people in five villages - Yetapaka, Kannaigude, Pichukalapadu, Purushothampatnam and Gundala – have been demanding to demerge their villages in Telangana.
Chandrababu blamed the ruling YSRCP government for not taking up relief and rehabilitation efforts in five flooded villages close to Bhadrachalam leading to demerger demand. Already, the TDP supremo had visited flood-hit villages in Konaseema and West Godavari districts. The TDP leaders made all arrangements for Naidu’s tour.
