Ayyanna Patrudu slams YSRCP for dragging Uma Maheswari’s death into politics
Srikakulam, August 4: Former minister and TDP politburo member Ch. Ayyanna Patrudu came down heavily on the YSRCP leaders for politicising the death of K. Uma Maheswari, youngest daughter of TDP founder and former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR).
“There was no truth in the allegation levelled by AP Forest Development Corporation chairman Gurrampati Devendra Reddy,” he said. Devendra alleged that a dispute arose between TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh and Uma Maheswari over lands located at Road No. 45 in Jubilee Hills in Hyderabad.
Ayyanna Patrudu stated that Devendra was given corporation chairman post only to criticise opponents of Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. In a social media post, Gurrampati mentioned that Uma Maheswari invested Rs 500 crore in Heritage Foods. “Unable to bear insult over financial and land disputes, Uma Maheswari ended her life,” he tweeted and asked why TV news channels are not holding debates on death of Uma Maheswari.
