Supreme Court dismisses MP Raghu Ramakrishna Raju’s petition
Delhi, August 12: The Supreme Court on Friday dismissed the quash petition filed by YSRCP rebel MP Raghu Ramakrishna Raju. The Gachibowli police registered FIR against his son and security personnel for assaulting and kidnapping an Intelligence constable, who was on duty in Hyderabad, from Andhra Pradesh.
Lawyer representing the Hyderabad police informed the top court that cops have enough evidence to prove that victim was kidnapped and thrashed inside the MP’s residence. He also brought to the notice of the apex court that the two CRPF men were already suspended in the case and probe is almost at crucial stage, he stated.
Agreeing with his arguments, the Supreme Court dismissed the plea. The MP approached the top court after Telangana High Court rejected to quash FIR.
