MLC Kavitha will receive CBI notice in Delhi liquor policy scam soon: BJP MP Parvesh
Delhi, August 24: Responding to defamation suit filed by TRS MLC K. Kavitha against him and former BJP MLA Manjinder Singh Sirsa, BJP MP Parvesh Verma on Thursday said that the CBI will issue a notice to her in Delhi liquor policy scam within a few days.
Speaking to the media here, Verma stated that the probe agency will reveal the role played by Kavitha in the scam. Two days ago, the BJP MP and Sirsa alleged that Kavitha, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao’s daughter, acted as a middleman between liquor mafia and Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia. They accused liquor mafia of paying Rs 150 crore to Sisodia for implementing the similar excise policy in Delhi followed by the Telangana government.
Denying her role in the scam, Kavitha mentioned that she is ready for any probe. She alleged that the BJP dragged her name into the scam to target her father.
