CPM to support TRS in Mungode by-election
Hyderabad, September 1: The CPI (M) on Thursday took a decision to extend support to the TRS in Munugode by-election. In a press meet, CPI (M) Telangana State Secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram announced his party’s decision. He stated that majority political parties sought the support of CPM in Munugode.
With a sole aim of defeating the BJP, Veerabhadram said that the CPM decided to support the TRS. He criticised Komatireddy Rajgopal for saying that he resigned to the MLA post for the development of Munugode Assembly constituency. “In Munugode public meeting, Union Home Minister Amit Shah had clearly explained as to why Rajgopal tendered resignation to the Congress and MLA post,” he mentioned.
The CPM leader said that real contest will be between the TRS and BJP in Munugode while the Congress will get third position despite having strong cadre and loyal voters. He clarified that the CPM’s support to the TRS will only limited to Munugode not further more.
