Harassment by AP govt forced unions to boycott Teachers’ Day: Pawan Kalyan

Amaravati, September 5: Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan said that festive spirit of the Teachers’ Day dampened in the state on September 5 after teachers’ unions such as Andhra Pradesh Teachers Federation (APTF), Telugu Nadu Upadyaya Sangam (TNUS), United Teachers Federation (UTF) and Progressive Teachers Union (PTU) gave boycott call protesting against the AP government for introducing face recognition app for registering attendance and booking cases against union leaders for giving Million March call opposing Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) on September 1.
 
In a press release on Monday, Pawan Kalyan recalled that there are several instances in the past of those who have harassed the teachers have lost their place in the history. “It’s the time for teachers to teach a befitting lesson to the state government for adopting suppressive methods,” he stated and extended solidarity to the protesting teachers on behalf of the Jana Sena for their reasonable demands.
