Munnuru Kapu leaders thank CM Jagan, Pawan Kalyan never fought for Kapus: Adapa Seshu
Amaravati, September 12: Leaders of the Munnuru Kapu Association belonging to seven mandals merged from Telangana to Andhra Pradesh during state bifurcation met Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy here on Monday and thanked him for issuing GO 49 meant for including Munnuru Kapu community in BC-D category. Association president Umashankar said that they will extend support to Jagan till they are alive.
Speaking to the media, State Kapu Welfare and Development Corporation chairman Adapa Seshu recalled that the TDP chief and former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu did not include Munnuru Kapus in BC-D despite handing over several representations to him.
The Kapu corporation chief mentioned that Jagan directed the BC Welfare Department to take measures for issuing BC-D certificates to Munnuru Kapus after issue was brought to his notice while touring flood-hit villages. “Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan never fought for the rights of Kapus but criticising the CM,” he faulted.
