Medical seat: Telangana BJP leader held for duping man of Rs 40 lakh
Hyderabad, September 21: The Central Crime Station (CCS) police of East Zone arrested BJP leader Kothapalli Satish Kumar for cheating a man of Rs 48.53 lakh with a promise of arranging a medical seat. He lodged a complaint with CCS police as he failed to fulfil his assurance.
After registering a case, cops arrested him under IPC sections 406, 420, 465, 468 and 471 and produced him before a Nampally court. According to police, Satish Kumar belongs to Jangaon district. He contested as an MLA on BSP ticket from Jangaon Assembly constituency in previous elections. In his web page, the accused claimed that he started his political journey with the ABVP in 2004 and joined the TRS in 2009.
