For first time, Chiranjeevi attends Alai Bhalai, beats drum
Hyderabad, October 6: For the first time, megastar Chiranjeevi attended the annual Dasara fete ‘Alai Bhalai’ hosted by Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya and his daughter Vijayalakshmi at Exhibition Grounds here on Thursday. Chiranjeevi encouraged participants by dancing along with Dattatreya and beating drums.
Speaking on the occasion, the Tollywood actor said that he was very disappointed for not getting an opportunity to take part in the event organised every year. “My brother Pawan Kalyan and brother-in-law Allu Aravind have already participated in Alai Bhalai much before me,” he recalled.
Apart from Chiranjeevi, former Maharashtra Governor C. Vidyasagar Rao, senior Congress leader V. Hanumantha Rao, noted Avadhani Garikapati Narasimha Rao, BJP MLA Raghunandan Rao, playback singer and music composer M.M. Srilekha and other political leaders took part.
Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Governors Tamilisai Soundararajan and Biswabhusan Harichandan; Union Ministers Nirmala Sitharaman and Kishan Reddy; Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar are expected to attend the event.
