BJP announces Munugode by-election candidate
Hyderabad, October 8: The BJP high command on Saturday declared Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy as party candidate for Munugode by-election. Speaking to the media here, former MP and BJP leader Vivek Venkatswamy said that Rajagopal Reddy accompanied by BJP national secretary and Telangana affairs in-charge Tarun Chug, and state BJP president Bandi Sanjay will file nomination on Monday.
Vivek criticised Minister for IT and Industries K. Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) for making allegations on companies owned by Rajagopal. “Four contracts sanctioned to Rajagopal’s firms as per the guidelines of the Supreme Court,” he pointed out.
The BJP leader alleged the TRS is spreading false campaign that the BJP will suffer defeat in by-poll. “Rajagopal will file a defamation suit in court against the KTR,” he warned.
By-election to Munugode necessitated with the resignation of Rajagopal. Polling for Munugode by-poll will be held on November 3 and counting of votes on November 6.
