Dr Suneetha Reddy Expresses Distress Over Online Trolling

Dr. Suneetha Reddy, daughter of YS Vivekananda Reddy, recently met with YS Sharmila in Idupulapaya, which has led to severe online trolling against both individuals. Dr. Suneetha revealed that since their meeting, they have been subjected to harsh and demeaning posts on social media. She expressed her inability to comprehend the extreme nature of the derogatory comments, stating she has never encountered such vulgar language before. The posts are so offensive and despicable that they are beyond sharing, she added.

Observing the trolling patterns over the last few days, Dr. Suneetha realized that this issue has been ongoing for a while. She mentioned that some posts even suggested harm towards her, prompting her to report these threats to the police. She emphasized the importance of condemning such actions and questioned the responsibilities of leaders in addressing these issues.

Dr. Suneetha also pointed out that if she and Sharmila are facing such harassment, the situation for others in Andhra Pradesh might be even worse. She mentioned posts made under a fake account in her name on Facebook and noted that the individual responsible had already filed a complaint with the Pulivendula police. She questioned the responsibility of the local MLA and the protection offered to women and the public in such circumstances.
