The book titled 'Mahaswapnikudu' (The Great Dreamer) written by senior journalist Poola Vikram about Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the leader of the Telugu Desam Party and former Chief Minister, is set to be unveiled this evening at 4 PM in Vijayawada by retired Supreme Court Justice Gopal Gowda. The book is published by Venkat Koduri, a non-resident Indian based in Kuwait.
The book touches upon Chandrababu Naidu's childhood, education, and recent developments in his life. It also addresses the propaganda against him in detail. The author mentions that after Chandrababu Naidu became Chief Minister for the second time in 1999, opposition Congress party leaders spread several false propaganda against him, including the claim that "agriculture is futile."
Following YS Rajasekhara Reddy's tenure as Chief Minister, there was an attempt to find newspaper clippings related to Chandrababu Naidu's statement that agriculture was deemed futile, as per the instructions of officials. Despite the employees of the Information Department searching for a week, they could not find any such statement in any newspaper, leading to the Congress leaders being silently embarrassed, as noted in the book.
