Telangana Govt to Inaugurate Mahalakshmi and Grihalakshmi Schemes Today
As part of fulfilling six guarantees promised during the election campaign, the Government of Telangana is ready to implement two more of these guarantees. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is set to launch these two promises at a public meeting held at Farah Engineering College ground in Chevella, Rangareddy district, today at 4 PM, as announced by the government on Monday.
The event will be attended by Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, Minister for Civil Supplies Uttam Kumar Reddy, along with other ministers and MLAs. During this meeting, the CM will inaugurate the provision of 200 units of free electricity per month under the Grihajyoti scheme for those with ration cards, and the Mahalakshmi scheme, offering gas cylinders at Rs. 500.
Initially, Congress senior leader Priyanka Gandhi was expected to attend this event, as announced by party leaders. However, due to unavoidable circumstances, she will not be able to attend. There is a possibility of her participating virtually if circumstances permit.
The implementation of the six guarantees is considered prestigious by the government, which has made extensive arrangements for this event. Arrangements have been made to transport women from all constituencies across the state to the venue in large numbers. Rangareddy district collector Shashank is overseeing these arrangements. Furthermore, the government plans to launch the Indiramma Housing Scheme before the implementation of the Lok Sabha election code.
