Good News for Devotees Planning to Visit Srisailam!
In a delightful update for devotees wishing to visit Srisailam, the Forest Area Officer of Dornala, Vishweshwar Rao, has announced that vehicles of devotees will be allowed during night hours as well, in light of the Maha Shivaratri Brahmotsavam festivities.
He informed that devotees heading to witness the Brahmotsavam from the 1st to the 11th of this month will be permitted to travel during night hours too.
Srisailam, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, is located within the Nallamala Forest along the Peddadoranala-Srisailam route, which falls under the Tiger Reserve's jurisdiction. Normally, vehicle movement on this route is halted from 9 PM to 6 AM, with vehicles being stopped at the forest department's checkpoint at Peddadoranala.
However, a temporary relaxation of this rule has been provided for the convenience of devotees visiting the Brahmotsavam. The Forest Area Officer advised drivers to proceed slowly and cautiously to avoid harming the wildlife and warned that legal actions would be taken against those who fail to comply with the regulations.
