Hyderabad: In the lead-up to the Lok Sabha elections, the opposition BRS in Telangana is facing a series of setbacks. From key leaders to grassroots level politicians, many are joining the ruling Congress party. Amidst widespread speculation that several MLAs are switching from the BRS to Congress, the meeting of Bhadrachalam BRS MLA Tellam Venkatrao with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has gained significant attention. This meeting has caused unrest within the Pink Party.
Tellam Venkatrao, accompanied by his family members, visited CM Revanth Reddy's residence this morning. Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy was also present during the meeting. There has been ongoing speculation for some time that Venkatrao is planning to join the Congress. His recent visit to the CM seems to confirm these rumors.
Following the recent Assembly elections, the Congress secured nine out of ten seats in the united Khammam district. If Tellam Venkatrao joins Congress, BRS's presence in Khammam would virtually disappear.
