CM Jagan launches Veligonda Project, dedicates it to the nation
Prakasam: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy inaugurated the Veligonda Project and subsequently announced its dedication to the nation. Speaking on this occasion, Jagan expressed his pride in the realization of a dream that spanned decades and conveyed his delight at the completion of this magnificent project. He mentioned the joy he felt in completing the project initiated by his father, YSR, emphasizing the significance of fulfilling such a monumental task.
Jagan highlighted that the project would resolve the drinking water issues for approximately 1.525 million people, a feat worth celebrating. Furthermore, he noted that the Veligonda Project would provide irrigation water to about 447,000 acres in the upland areas within the districts of Prakasam, Nellore, and YSR, thereby greatly benefiting agriculture in these regions.
