TDP Leader Bode Prasad Disheartened by Denial of Penamaluru Ticket

TDP leader Bode Prasad has openly expressed his dissatisfaction with the party after being informed by the TDP high command that he will not be receiving the ticket for Penamaluru. Prasad, who had high hopes of securing the ticket, stated that the news was extremely disheartening. "I was eagerly awaiting the ticket, and to hear that I won't be getting it felt like a stab in the heart," he remarked.
Bode Prasad proclaimed his unwavering devotion to Chandrababu Naidu, highlighting his tenure as an MLA from 2014 to 2019, during which he claims not to have been tainted by even a hint of corruption. He attributed his loss in the last elections to adverse circumstances and public sympathy for Jagan. Prasad mentioned that he had sought forgiveness for any unintentional mistakes and continued to engage in welfare activities among the people.
He emphasized his diligent participation in all party-mandated activities, claiming to have funded these endeavors with his own money without seeking financial assistance from others. Prasad also mentioned spending around one crore rupees annually to support the TDP in Penamaluru, irrespective of his financial status.
Regarding local elections, Prasad stated he had invested nearly one crore rupees and pointed out the success of Lokesh's padayatra, which he claimed had set a record in the state. He also highlighted his contributions to various successful party events in Penamaluru, stating that his efforts always received support from the local TDP cadre and the public.
Bode Prasad questioned the party's decision to deny him a ticket, especially after conducting IVRS surveys that reportedly showed 86% support for him. He lamented the times he prioritized party work over family, saying, "Even when my wife wanted to buy clothes or jewelry, I would say, 'Let's win the election for the party first; we can buy those later,' and I spent millions for the party."
"Even though I was not saddened by my defeat, being told that there was no opportunity for me in Penamaluru truly broke my heart," Prasad expressed his profound disappointment.
