TDP's Lokesh pledges to serve Mangalagiri with dedication

Mangalagiri: Nara Lokesh, the young leader of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), announced his commitment to the development of Mangalagiri, promising to make it synonymous with progress if elected as the MLA with a significant majority. He assured the electorate of his availability to serve them and requested their blessings as if he were a family member. Lokesh highlighted plans to model Mangalagiri as an exemplary constituency, leveraging strategies already in place for its development. He visited several neutral dignitaries in the constituency to share his views.
Initially, Lokesh visited the home of a prominent Muslim figure, Sheikh Maula Ali, in the 29th ward of Mangalagiri. The family welcomed him warmly with bouquets. Lokesh expressed the TDP's commitment to the welfare of the Muslim community, recalling past government initiatives like the Ramzan Tohfa, Dulhan, overseas education support, and construction of Shaadi Khanas. He lamented the alleged pressures and injustices faced by Muslims under the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) regime, promising better governance and the revival of welfare schemes for Muslims if his party comes to power.
Subsequently, Lokesh visited the office of Anjuman-e-Himayathul Islam (Anjuman Committee) in the 31st ward, where he was requested to protect Wakf board assets and develop Shaadi Khanas and graveyards. Lokesh accused YSRCP leaders of encroaching on thousands of crores worth of assets belonging to the Wakf board and mosques, citing specific instances of violence and injustice. He criticized the YSRCP for cancelling previous welfare schemes aimed at the Muslim community and misdirecting funds allocated for their development. Lokesh promised to take firm steps to protect Wakf assets upon his party's return to power.
Finally, Lokesh met with Kola Veeranjaneyulu, a textile merchant from the 5th ward of Mangalagiri, and discussed issues faced by the Krishna Balija community. He reaffirmed TDP's commitment to the welfare of all backward classes (BCs), promising equitable treatment and special protection laws for BCs in the upcoming government.
